One of the fictional characters in my forthcoming novel Bycatch is Anh Truong, a young woman who came to America as a tiny girl during the collapse of South Vietnam in 1975. In the book, Ahn finds herself nourished by both her adopted country and the culture and traditions of her parents. Unbeknownst to me at the time of my writing Bycatch, Trang Pham-Bui, a local journalist and communications specialist had a similar journey from Vietnam to Biloxi. Her fascinating, parallel story is told in her own words in this five-minute documentary by the Mississippi Public Radio: Vietnam Reflections
Diaspora

Can’t wait to read your book. It sounds so interesting!
